I keep hearing about places it's good or not good to send donations to--and more of the latter, to be honest. I've donated to Doctors Without Borders and the Red Cross, but I don't know if those are the most efficient ways to go (mostly based on hearsay and whatnot). Mater got an e-mail today that she passed on to me, calling for Twitter users to set their locations to Tehran and their times to GMT +3.30. In the recent crackdown, Iranian security forces are using location and timezone feed to hunt down bloggers and shut down internet access. Major Latin test impending. In addition to my piles of flashcards, I've been trying to think of sentences I can memorize to contextualize and absorb words and word order. It's mostly the small annoying ones with specific purposes that get to me, much more than the big vocabulary words.
